Parent Support Services: MedWaiver

MedWaiver:

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities Home and Community Based Waiver provides necessary support and services to people who have a developmental disability so that they may remain in the community and avoid placement in an institution. The HCBS Waiver program is funded by federal and matching state dollars.

What is the referral process?

Anyone can apply online or at an office for an application from APD to be on the Waiting List for the Medwaiver services. A person can also be referred to APD by a family member, school or medical personnel and community agencies. For Palm Beach County, call the West Palm Beach APD at (561) 837-5564
