Early Intervention: Warning Signs

Warning Signs:

Warning Signs are those behaviors or possible delays that are different from other typically developing peers. An excellent resource for what is typical development and activities you can do to promote development as well as what to look for at each stage of development can be found at Learn the Signs Act Early: this website is provided by the CDC. The website provides free information that can be printed for use or downloaded as an app to your smart phone. Click Here to find information about what is typical and what signs to look for if your child is not with your child to meeting their developmental milestones.

There is also a checklist Click Here that can be used to identify what child is not doing to take with you to the next well check. At that point the Pediatrician may refer your child for additional developmental evaluation.
